TOWSON, MD — The annual summer episode of “Parent University" – featuring a variety of seasonal activities to keep youngsters engaged and learning – is now airing on Comcast Cable Channel 73 and Verizon FiOS Channel 34 in Baltimore County.
The show, hosted by Sue Hahn of BCPS’ Parent University, focuses on keeping students busy and active during the long, lazy, and hot days of summer. In the episode, Hahn takes viewers on excursions to Glenn L. Martin Aviation Museum in Middle River, the Marshy Point Nature Center in Chase, and the Agriculture Center in Hunt Valley, as well as to local branches of the Baltimore County Public Library.
“Summer can be a tough time to find things to do that are both fun and educational," says Hahn, a specialist in the school system’s Office of Family and Community Engagement. “But there are many opportunities across Baltimore County and the region for both having summertime fun and learning a little bit about our region, our history, our culture, and our people. The important thing is to get out there and explore what our county has to offer."
Parent University is a BCPS program that supports parents and caregivers through in-person workshops, online resources, and videos that meet unique educational needs of students and their families.
