Online checklist available to support students, parents in preparing for the upcoming school year

BCPS’ Web site also lists back-to-school activities

TOWSON, MD— The 2012–2013 school year for Baltimore County Public Schools’ students will begin on Monday, August 27, 2012. To help students and their families prepare, BCPS has posted a checklist on its Web site, as well as a list of back-to-school activities planned by the schools. The checklist can be found at http://www.bcps.org/schools/back_checklist.htm, and the list of back-to-school activities is at http://www.bcps.org/news/back-to-school.html. With the checklist and through other communications, Baltimore County Public Schools urges families to enroll new students as early as possible and to verify residency for incoming Grade 6 and Grade 9 students. The online checklist includes links to information about enrollment, residency verification, and other important topics, such as immunizations. Information is also available from main offices of all BCPS’ schools, which are open throughout the summer.
