Board of Education Seeks Community Input

TOWSON, MD. - The Board of Education of Baltimore County has initiated its search for a new superintendent.

The Board has retained the services of Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA), a nationally-recognized consulting firm specializing in assisting local Boards of Education in finding qualified superintendent candidates. Additionally, a key step in the superintendent search process is to identify the characteristics the Board should consider in choosing a new superintendent. The community‘s input and assistance would be greatly appreciated in this important step.

The public will be able to participate in this process by:

  • Completing the online survey at http://www.bcps.org/supsearch.htm prior to January 27, 2012, or
  • Attending an Open Forum to offer comments. Forums will take place on Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at Loch Raven High School, 1212 Cowpens Avenue in Towson, beginning at 6:30 p.m., and at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2012, at both Woodlawn High School, 1801 Woodlawn Drive in Woodlawn, and Kenwood High School, 501 Stemmers Run Road, Middle River.  HYA will facilitate the open forums.

The Board thanks you for your assistance with this most important task.
