What: More than 200 Baltimore County Public Schools' middle school students, selected through a highly competitive audition process, will perform in the annual countywide Middle School Honors Concert. An Honor Orchestra, Honor Chorus, and Honor Band will be conducted, respectively, by Sheldon Bair, Harford County Public Schools; Michael Wu, Landon School; and Bryan Eber, Howard County Public Schools. Admission to the concert is free, and tickets are not required.

Background: The diverse musical program will include performances of Andante Festivo by Jean Sibelius, I Come from Far Away by Elliot Levine, Southern Folk Rhapsody by Michael Sweeney, and music from the film How to Train Your Dragon by John Powell and Sean O'Loughlin.
A highlight of the afternoon will be Bair conducting the Honor Orchestra in playing his own Requiem for Antietam.
