Public invited to Board of Education hearing on proposed West Towson Elementary boundary

What: The Board of Education of Baltimore County will hold a public hearing on the proposed boundaries for the newly constructed West Towson Elementary School and the proposed boundary changes for Rodgers Forge and Riderwood elementary schools. West Towson Elementary School is slated to open in August 2010. The public is invited to speak about the proposed boundaries, which were presented to the Board on February 17, 2010. The presentation, which includes the proposed boundary as well as other boundary and demographic information, may be found on the BCPS web site at: http://www.bcps.org/board/exhibits/2010/020910ExhibitM.pdf.

When: The public hearing will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, 2010. Sign-up for the public to comment begins at 6:00 p.m. the day of the hearing. Each speaker will be allotted three minutes to present his/her comments to the Board.

Where: Loch Raven High School, 1212 Cowpens Avenue, in Towson. (From the Beltway, take exit 29 (Cromwell Bridge Road) and turn northeast onto Cromwell Bridge Road. Proceed to the traffic signal at Cowpens Avenue and turn left. The school entrance is on the right.)
