What: Baltimore County Public Schools and the West Towson Elementary School Boundary Study Committee will hold a public forum to discuss where to draw attendance boundary lines for the new West Towson Elementary School, which is scheduled to open to students in August 2010. The forum is part of a process for incorporating public comment into the way Baltimore County's school system determines attendance areas for new schools.
When: The public forum begins at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2010.
(Snow date is Thursday, January 7, 2010.)
Where: Loch Raven High School
1212 Cowpens Avenue, Towson, MD 21221
Background:
At the forum, area parents, business leaders, and interested members of the community will learn about the boundary-drawing process, be asked to comment on the process, and consider options for the West Towson Elementary School boundary lines. Viewpoints collected at the forum will be used to decide which option or boundaries would best suit the new school. Once a boundary recommendation is selected, it will be sent to the Baltimore County Board of Education for approval.
