Got jeans? Think about donating them to Arbutus Middle’s community service project

National Junior Honor Society is participating in Teens for Jeans

What: Arbutus Middle School students in the Amos-Marfizo Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society are collecting gently used and new jeans to be shared with local youth experiencing homelessness. This effort is part of the Teens for Jeans initiative coordinated by DoSomething and Aéropostale. Community members can drop off jeans – on or before Friday, Feb. 28 – at Arbutus Middle School, attention Rizza Padilla or Lynn Elliott. By participating, Arbutus Middle is eligible for a chance to win one of two $2,500 scholarships. The school that collects the most jeans nationwide will win a $10,000 grant. The school in second place will win a $5,000 grant.
