Saturday, Dec. 1

Visit the Parentmobile at the Dundalk Christmas Parade

What: Visitors board the Parentmobile to learn about BCPS' curriculum, at-home learning resources, the BCPS website, community resources, and resources to support families of students with special needs or limited English proficiency. Parents and guardians are invited to visit. No registration is required.
When: Saturday, Dec. 1, from 4 – 6 p.m.

Parkville Middle School Honor Band, Honor Orchestra to perform National Anthem at Baltimore Blast game

When: Saturday, Dec. 1, at 6 p.m.

Monday, Dec. 3

Student Teacher Interns and Deans of Education invited to a reception

What: Baltimore County Public Schools is inviting area student teacher interns and deans of education to a Student Teacher Intern Reception. All student teacher interns completing their internships this school year are invited – not just student teacher interns with BCPS. At the reception, guests will learn more about Baltimore County Public Schools and its job opportunities and benefits; meet principals; and hear from 1st and 2nd year teachers about supports available for new teachers. Representatives from the following offices and groups will be in attendance: consulting teachers, Curriculum and Instruction; Equity and Cultural Proficiency; STAT teachers; School Climate and Safety; Staffing; and TABCO.
When: Monday, Dec. 3, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Special Education Group to meet with Interim Superintendent

What: The Special Education Citizens’ Advisory Committee advocates to make recommendations and assist BCPS on issues concerning children and special education services. This meeting will feature a discussion with Interim Superintendent Verletta White. Registration is not required.
When: Monday, Dec. 3, from 7 – 9 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 5

Cromwell Valley's second Family STEAM Night

What: Cromwell Valley's second Family STEAM Night will be hosted byvocal and instrumental music specialists Tim Kjer and Trevor Hedrick. During this fun interactive STEAM activity, families willcollaborate to create CVE's STEAM Rondo (an instrumental musical form) using Yamaha keyboards. Keyboard experience is not needed. Space is limited to 30 keyboard players and 20 observers. Pre-registration is required for this event. Contact the school to pre-register.
When: Wednesday, Dec. 5, from 5 – 6 p.m.

Gifted and Talented Citizens group to discuss innovative learning

What: The Gifted and Talented Citizens Advisory invites parents, students, and advocates to provide input on issues related to gifted and talented education. This meeting will feature a discussion with representatives from the Office of Innovative Learning. Registration is not required.
When: Wednesday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 8

Randallstown High School PTSA Holiday Bazaar

What: The annual Randallstown High School Holiday Bazaar, sponsored by the school’s PTSA, will feature more than 45 local arts and craft vendors, unique handmade jewelry, holiday décor, books, home accessories, beauty/skincare products, baked goods, and more. The event is free and open to the public. From 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., children will be able to make free crafts and meet Santa and Mrs. Claus. (There will be a small fee to take photos with Santa.)

3rd Annual Fifth District Elementary PTA Basket Bingo

When: Saturday, Dec. 8, at 4:30 p.m.

What: Artwork by BCPS students – and some visual arts teachers – is on display throughout the community.

Office of Special Education hosts Navigating Possibilitopia

What: The Office of Special Education presentsNavigating Possibilitopia, an opportunity for parents to learn from other parents about supporting young adults receiving a certificate of attendance at age 21. The event will feature a panel discussion and work sessions.
When: Monday, Dec. 10, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
