There is even a Karaoke Club.“

Special School Traditions

Every teacher who retires or leaves Stemmers Run is presented with a crab mallet, as a sign of appreciation for their service.

Each fall, there is a "Run for the Pies" cross country event where winners literally win pies to take home to their families for the holidays.

“Stemmers Run also has a "Guardian Angel" program through which teachers donate food and money, and our school counseling department builds holiday food baskets to give to our neediest families for holiday meals. The guardian angels also typically support families with gifts for the children as well.”

Bet you didn’t know…

That Dr. Thomas D. Jones, NASA astronaut and veteran on several Space Shuttle flights, was a 1970 "graduate" of Stemmers Run Middle School.
