Spotlight

Students in the Japanese Magnet Program at Sudbrook Magnet Middle School hosted students and representatives of Yamazaki Junior High School for six days last week. Yamazaki JHS is a sister school to Sudbrook continuing a relationship that began in 2007. Over the years, Yamazaki and Sudbrook students have regularly exchanged letters and shared stories and information about their respective cultures. Japanese Magnet students and families hosted visiting students in their homes and visited various sites around Baltimore and Washington D.C. Students also worked together to create videos and wiki pages, and participated in cultural activities such as dance, calligraphy, and crafts. Students will continue to communicate on Edmodo throughout the year. Sudbrook is excited to continue this valuable partnership for many years to come!
