Comptroller of Maryland honors three BCPS students with Maryland Masters Awards.

Comptroller Peter Franchot honored Jasmine Gilliam of Randallstown High, Maria Karvounis of Hereford Middle, and Haley White of Glenmar Elementary, as winners of Maryland Masters Awards during a ceremony held at the Baltimore County Schools Greenwood Administration Building.

Comptroller Franchot unveiled the artwork alongside each student and talked about the importance of creative minds in stimulating the economy.

This new award program is aimed at recognizing youth who have displayed extraordinary artistic skills and a vision for Maryland’s future. This initiative celebrates the achievements of Marylanders through the arts and showcases the work of students from Kindergarten through 12th grade in the Comptroller’s Office in Annapolis.
