Second Graders from Woodmoor Elementary receive a special visit from Fox 45’s Vytas Reid

Fox 45 Meteorologist Vytas Reid visited with second graders at Woodmoor Elementary and asked them what they wanted to do when they grew up. He told students that he started out behind the scenes before going to college for meteorology. His dad, who was an announcer for his hometown news station in Grand Rapids, Michigan, inspired him to be the TV personality that he is today.

Mr. Reid went on to explain the water cycle, inclement weather and weather safety. He also showed the second graders hilarious videos of meteorologists out in the field and time-release videos of falling snow.

Later, the students went outside to see the Fox 45 truck. It was outfitted with the most current weather tools to report weather from different locations. Students also got to watch Mr. Reid demonstrate several experiments that they really appreciated and learned from.
