Jaddah Lawson and Destiny Glatstein, 5th graders at Hawthorne Elementary School, wanted to find a way to help others during this holiday season. They have been working feverishly the last several weeks making as many Rainbow Loom bracelets as possible. The bracelets are currently being sold both locally and at Valley View Inn Restaurant in Parkville, Maryland, in order to raise money for Toys for Tots.

"My mom used to take me to Franklin Square Hospital every December so I could donate my toys to less fortunate kids. Since the hospital remodeled, we couldn't find where to take the toys, so I asked my friend (Destiny) to make and sell bracelets with me. We will donate the money we make from selling bracelets to Toys for Tots, or will buy new toys to give them," Jaddah said.

"Some kids don't have nearly as much as we do. I wanted to sell bracelets for Toys for Tots so that all kids would have a smile on their face at Christmas," Destiny added.
