A delegation from the Gyeonggi-do Province in South Korea visited Chesapeake STEM Academy to gain a better understanding of American magnet schools and programs.

"I find a huge value in having visitors from outside our country come and visit the school system," said Chesapeake's STEM coordinator, Corinne Roche. "It's an opportunity to network internationally and globally and to collaborate."

Led by the province's superintendent, Dr. Sangkon Kim, the delegation toured the school, observed multiple classrooms and the school's virtual learning environment, spoke with students and even answered a few interview questions in Chesapeake's telecommunications studio.

"It's a chance for us to share some unique things that we're doing here," Roche said. "I always find that we learn as much from our visitors as I hope they learn from us."
