Sports Science Academy (SSA) students at Kenwood High School collected candy and gently used costumes to support the Eastside Family Shelter's "Trunk or Treat" program.   Children living in the shelter were able to dress up in costumes and go from car to car on the shelter's parking lot to collect their Halloween goodies on Friday, October 25, 2013.

The SSA students collected donations from Kenwood staff, students, families and community members and then prepared individual goodie bags that were then delivered to the shelter.  The outpouring of generosity from the Kenwood community made it possible to prepare about 500 treat bags.
