Dundalk and Sollers Point students participate in PortFest

On Thursday October 17th, a combination of 34 students from Dundalk High School's Homeland Security program and Sollers Point Technical High School had the opportunity to participate in Baltimore's PortFest. Students were able to experience first hand the logistics, security and operations of the Dundalk and Seagirt Marine Terminals and had the privilege to observe the magnitude of labor that occurs in the port's community.

Dundalk and Sollers Point students were excellent role models and gained a fantastic experience.  Mr. Heinze and Mr. McNally, the Operations Managers of the Dundalk and Seagirt Marine Terminals, provided students with a phenomenal tour and presentation about the port expansion occurring in Baltimore. Students asked several inquisitive questions related to homeland security and operations that occur in Baltimore's waters.
