Dundalk High School re-opens student-run "Owl Branch"

Dundalk High School students, teachers, and administrators, as well as employees of First Financial Credit Union gathered to celebrate the re-opening of the student-run "Owl Branch." The "Owl Branch" is a branch of First Financial that allows students to learn about financial literacy without having to leave their school. The credit union operates to benefit students and staff at the school and teaches students valuable lessons about career opportunities and skills needed in jobs in the financial industry.

After speeches from a few student employees, Dundalk's principal, Mr. Shouldice and First Financial's CEO, Rob Windsor, a ribbon cutting took place to loads of applause.

"This is a wonderful opportunity to form a relationship between First Financial Credit Union and Dundalk High School," Shouldice said. "It's exciting and allows kids to learn the banking and credit union industry, and it is a real asset to our business program as well. We are very excited to have it right here in our school for our students and faculty."
