It was a sunny, fall day and Cedarmere Elementary School students were ready to walk for a cause.  In anticipation of Saturday's Save-A-Limb Ride, Walk, and Festival, Cedarmere hosted its own Fun Walk to support the Save-A-Limb organization and to honor Cedarmere student Elizabeth (Lizzie) Gardner. The theme of the walk was "superheroes," so Lizzie and her sister, Sara wore capes and led the march in support of fighting to save limbs from amputation and providing knee and hip replacements to patients both domestically and abroad.

Special guests Batman and BCPS Superintendent Dr. Dance attended the event. Cedarmere students were encouraged to hold masks as they walked that portrayed their favorite super hero powers, such as kindness, patience, and other positive character attributes.
