Bagpiper and mascot offer first-day welcome to Pine Grove Middle students

Pine Grove Middle School students were both surprised and elated with a back-to-school welcome from the Cougar mascot as well as a bagpiper entertaining them as they arrived to school this morning.

Principal Sandra Reid explains that a group of bagpipers have held their Thursday evening practices at the school for years. "The gentleman who came this morning is in the class and volunteers to share his talents annually," she says. "It really adds some festivity and "pomp' to the exciting occasion of school reopening."

PGMS faculty and staff are eagerly anticipating an outstanding year for the students and their learning community.
