Sometimes history is best told by those who've experienced it firsthand. Students at Deer Park Middle Magnet School in Randallstown learned this last month during a visit from the Continental Ladies of Baltimore, a local community group.

On March 27, six Continental Ladies volunteers hosted a half-day Ladies of Virtue mentoring program at Deer Park. The program, held in honor of Women's History Month, paired volunteers with female students to share historical contributions made by women. Volunteers shared artifacts and personal stories from their lives to help students understand the important role women have played in history and how history has helped shape the modern woman.
