Dundalk High calculus teacher holds AP practice

On Saturday, January 19, Dundalk High School's calculus teacher, Matt Estelle, held an Advanced Placement practice session in the school's library. Twenty four students attended that morning; 14 from Dundalk High and 10 from the neighboring school Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts.

Students were given time to work on released AP Calculus AB multiple choice and free response problems. Estelle used his passion for mathematics and quirky teaching style to keep students interested and engaged. Polling devices like Promethean ActivExpressions were used to gauge student proficiency.  Competitions were held for prizes, and students advanced their knowledge of AP Calculus while having fun.
