Rodgers Forge Elementary invites grandparents for Annual Generations Day

Family members and friends traveled from as far away as Florida, Texas, and Colorado to participate in what has become an annual tradition at Rodgers Forge Elementary School – Generation Day.

The 13th annual Generations Day took place on Thursday, October 18, 2012. The day began with many students entering the building accompanied by their grandparents, great-grandparents, and other older family members and friends.

Teachers incorporated the more than 400 attendees in classroom lessons and activities to provide students with a learning experience that combined their classroom materials with their elders’ academic knowledge.

The day’s activities were spearheaded by Guidance Chair Michele Rowland.
