On Thursday, October 18, 2012, Kingsville Elementary School held its Annual Reading Party.

The school-wide, hour-long event invited students, teachers, and family members to partake in individual or group reading sessions and reading-related games. Participants in the former activity dressed in pajamas, collected on blankets spread across classroom floors, and read from their books, magazines, newspapers, and E-readers; participants in the latter activity contributed to games of Book Charades, Guess the Book Title, and Reading Bingo.

As the second installment in a Kingsville Elementary tradition, the celebration gathered readers of all ages for an afternoon devoted to fostering student appreciation of reading as a lifelong hobby.
