Halstead Academy of Art and Science received third place honors in a statewide competition to show pride for the Baltimore Orioles. As a prize, the entire student body and faculty will receive tickets to an Orioles game in April 2013.

Schools across Baltimore County joined schools across the state in celebrating the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday, September 19, 2012.

At Halstead Academy, the entire school community – students, teachers, parents, and staff – participated in decorating the building.  Students wrote congratulations "bricks" that formed an "Orange Brick Road to the World Series."  Each grade level developed its own way to show pride. Students tie dyed shirts and decorated classrooms, hallways, and even the principal's office.
