Parkville High School's Advanced Placement classes in statistics, calculus, and world history began the 2012–2013 school year by participating in skill-development activities from ACDC Leadership's Boot Camp. 

ACDC stands for active learning, cooperative learning, discovery learning, and community. The ACDC Leadership Boot Camp is designed to help students succeed in challenging college-level Advanced Placement classes.

The Parkville students completed activities such as passing through a spider web and walking a tight rope to learn that success requires determining each other's strengths and weaknesses and working together to ensure that all members of their team reach their goals.
