On February 7, 2012, Halstead Academy held a very exciting Space Night; organized in conjunction with the Baltimore County Public Schools’ Star Lab.  Those in attendance were given the opportunity to interact with four-time shuttle astronaut, Don Thomas.  They participated in hands-on activities with Jim O'Leary, Director of the Maryland Science Center, Davis Planetarium and IMAX, as well as the Noyce Scholars from Towson University.

This actively engaging evening enabled all Halstead families to travel through space, partake in a space ice cream treat, and learn about space from experts in the field.
