In early January, Perry Hall Middle School hosted its third annual World Fair Day and students from the school’s National Junior Honor Society and the Diversity Club assisted with the activities. This year’s theme was “Games of the World.” On an assigned day during a social studies or science class, students in all three grade levels participated in various games from around the world.  They learned how the games had been culturally diffused to the USA, as well as how games have been modified from their original forms in various countries.  The idea behind the World Fair Day is to help students better understand diversity and how the USA is a “melting pot” due to the intermingling of various cultures.
