Decked out in their PJs and toting a good book, a newspaper, a magazine, or an e-reader, over 150 students and their families assembled on their blankets in the gymnasium of Kingsville Elementary on February 1  for the school’s sixth annual Snuggle Up With a Good Book night. All who attended were treated to a “read aloud” by a guest reader and then had 15 minutes to read together as a family. Eight lucky students went home with door prizes that included digital reading timer/bookmark and light kits, t shirts, and gift certificates to the school store and to Barnes and Noble.

Each student who attended was able to add two additional reading steps to their 100 Book Challenge reading log. Kingsville Elementary plans to continue this event each year.
