The ZOOmobile visits Woodmoor Elementary

The second graders of Woodmoor Elementary got a special treat when the ZOOmobile visited from the Baltimore Zoo in early December.

The zoo workers provided an interactive presentation that included several animals.  A bullfrog named Jaws and a toucan named Sam joined ravens, Rise and Conquer. Both birds work with local NFL football team, the Baltimore Ravens.

Children dressed up in outfits to discuss what one might wear in a certain environment. They also discussed the characteristics of animals and what made each type of animal special. Students also contributed what they already knew about animals while learning new information.
