Recently, Loch Raven Technical Academy, partnered with the Maryland Food Bank, held its first food distribution for needy families. Volunteers consisted of faculty, staff and families and friends of staff members. The school provided eight complete thanksgiving meals complete with a turkey to families, as well as an assortment of canned goods and non- perishable foods to approximately one hundred people.
Loch Raven’s Food Pantry Program is different from the others it doesn’t have a standing pantry where people in need can come at anytime to receive non-perishable goods. Loch Raven is hoping to hold several distribution dates on Saturdays throughout the school year and all families in need are welcome. The school will hold its next distribution on Saturday, December 17th from 9:30 – 11:30a.m.![]() |
