Students from Windsor Mill Middle School and Wellwood International School recently took part in a Webcast with Jeff Kinney, the author of the popular Diary of a Wimpy Kid series.  The Webcast, sponsored by School Library Journal, is an opportunity for students from Baltimore County Public Schools to interact with the author and other students from across the country.

Kinney, a graduate of the University of Maryland, used the Web cast as the venue to explain the thought process behind his popular series and respond to questions from students.  Students had a special surprise when the two lead actors from the movie, Zachary Gordon and Robert Capron, appeared on stage and responded to audience questions.

Jayda Nelson, a sixth grader at Windsor Mill Middle School, was inspired and will use the Webcast as a reminder “to never give up on her dreams.”
