Through a partnership with PNC Bank, students in business technology classes at Golden Ring Middle School participate in monthly financial literacy lessons provided by PNC banking professionals. 

Another component of this initiative, which began in September 2011, is that students opened individual savings accounts with their parents/guardians’ permission and participate in making deposits at school during designated banking days.

Golden Ring Middle School, in conjunction with PNC Bank, is helping students develop a habit of saving and financial planning related to goal setting. 

The school’s first banking days have been a huge success.
