Healthy Food Brunch at Orems Elementary
10/20/11

spotlight

As part of their unit on healthy living, second grade students at Orems Elementary School worked with their classroom teachers Ms. Nichols, Ms. Breach, and Mrs. Sizemore, and the school’s art teacher, Mrs. Hulse, to learn about ways to eat healthy.

The students researched types of foods to help them make good nutrition choices, created recipe books, kept a food diary, and made a collaborative fruit and vegetable mural. During their brunch, the students sampled some yummy crock pot oatmeal and a beautiful fruit salad.

Second grader Dylan said the event was “fun and delicious”!
