Oliver Beach Elementary "races" for education

Oliver Beach Elementary School held its first Race for Education on Friday, May 6, 2011. Students walked or ran a set course for one hour.  Each student in the school participated.  The fundraiser was held to increase funds for technology at the school.

Because all goals were met, Principal Mary Ann Rigopoulos and Assistant Principal Molly Bissell dyed their hair blue and dressed as “Thing 1” and “Thing 2.”

The fundraiser has raised more than $22,000 to date.
