Telephone Sparks Elementary School, and you might find your call answered by the very polite and efficient grade 5 students Lillian Behan and Olivia DiPasquale.

“Each year, we ask the fifth-grade teachers to select students to help in the office,” says administrative secretary Tammy Kincaid. “This year, we have Lillian and Olivia answer phones, sort mail, count flyers for students, make ice bags for the nurse, and more.”

Callers to the school and visitors to the front office often comment about the great first impression the student helpers make.

“They are always professional and represent Sparks Elementary School with a smile,” Kincaid adds. “They enjoy it so much they come back during their recess. We absolutely love their help.”
