Jazz Band Rehearsal @ Walters Art Museum

On the evening of Saturday, February 5, 2011, the musicians and singers onstage in the Graham Auditorium of the Walters Art Museum represented some of the most talented jazz students in Baltimore County Public Schools.

The public concert, sponsored each year by the BCPS Office of Music, showcases high school students who are selected through an audition process to perform in a countywide honors jazz chorus or band.

This year, the groups were conducted by Dr. Phillip Butts, a retired music educator from Anne Arundel County Public Schools, and James Van Slyke, a vocal coach from Fairfax County, VA.
