A group of students from The Chatsworth School recently took up a new cause when they planned a community service project for the holidays.

By collecting donated pennies, the students helped the families at Hannah More Shelter buy games and entertainment.  The students are also making holiday cards for each individual family at the home.

Hannah More House is a 24-hour emergency shelter providing meals, temporary housing, and counseling for single women and families with children.

The shelter is one of three emergency locations in Baltimore County.  The others are the family shelter at the Eastern Family Resource Center, 9100 Franklin Square Drive; and Nehemiah House, a facility for single men in Rossville.

The shelters provide meals and social work, health and mental health services, including case-managed social work and housing assistance.
