Fifth District Elementary School hosted its annual Veteran’s Day assembly on Thursday, November 11, to honor veterans in the community.

First-grade students presented facts about Veteran’s Day, sang a song, and recited a poem for the veterans in attendance. The entire audience participated with the Pledge of Allegiance and by singing “America.”

The veterans honored at the assembly were: Eddie Miles, Dick Merryman, Dan Donovan, Joseph Bonner, Richard Hyson, Ron Schmidt, Wayne Gordon, Chuck Venn, Rick Smith, Jake Wilson, Larry Eatter, Bob Clark, Dick Huppert, Andrew Rydzewski, Natalie Bakhsh, Jeff Rynbrandt, and James Ringgold.
