Penny Johnson Jerald, who plays Sherry Palmer
on the FOX television network show “24,”
spoke at the closing assembly for Pleasant Plains
Elementary fifth graders. Jerald is the aunt
of 5th grader Destiny Johnson who is completing
her elementary school experience at Pleasant
Plains.
Jerald, a Baltimore native, addressed the students
on the importance of setting goals and never
giving up on a dream, much as she did when she
started her formal training at the age of 14
in Center Stage workshops. She later attended
the famed Julliard School in New York.
