• Opening New Town High School is a monumental undertaking. Among the supplies needed to open the school are:
  • 3,000 student chairs or stools and 3,000 student desks or tables.
  • Nearly 300 computers and 10,000 textbooks.
  • 70 overhead projectors and 65 televisions.
  • 5 refrigerators and 5 microwave/convection ovens.
  • 250 school athletic uniforms.
  • 150 microscopes and 309 Bunsen burners.
  • 8 water fountains.
• Athletic facilities include:
  • 8-lane metric track encircling football field.
  • 1 90-foot baseball diamond and 3 softball diamonds.
  • 2 soccer/hockey fields and 6 tennis courts.
  • High school gymnasium with volleyball court and adjacent concessions and ticket booth areas.
  • Physical education complex includes wrestling room and full-service fitness / weight training room.
• Grounds facilities include:
  • Designated parking for 18 school buses and 350 cars.
  • Toddler playground to serve Family Studies Center.
• Arts facilities include:
  • music rooms and 4 practice rooms
  • 3 art rooms
  • Yearbook and journalism room
  • Dance studio and Black-box theater
  • Video Production Center
• Support facilities include:
  • 3 special education classrooms, crisis room and transition area.
  • 4 teacher planning areas, faculty lounge, and faculty workroom.
  • Counseling suite and career center
  • Speech and Language Therapy suite
