Gov. Ehrlich Shares Holiday Classic with Relay Students
Governor Ehrlich makes surprise visit to Relay Elementary School.

Relay Elementary Students had a special treat on December 16, when Governor Robert L. Ehrlich and his Press Secretary, Greg Massoni visited the school for the annual reading of The Polar Express. The holiday classic written by Chris Van Allsburgtells the story is of a boy who boards a mysterious train on Christmas Eve and takes a journey to the North Pole and his wondrous visit with Santa Claus .

After reading the story the Governor, who grew up not far from the Arbutus area school, told the appreciative audience that if every student in the school read two books during the Winter break, he would return to Relay Elementary in the Spring with the First Lady and their young son, Drew. Governor Ehrlich also presented a gubernatorial proclamation to the school's principal, Mr. James Skarbek, and thanked him for his years of service to Baltimore County Public Schools.
