Mission Statement
The state of Maryland has many treasures, but few states enjoy the world's respect and admiration like the Johns Hopkins Children's Center. The mission of the Children's Center is to provide the best patient care for all children, train the finest physicians and further critical research.
Kids Helping Hopkins is an education program supported by the Baltimore County School System and many other schools throughout the state to support vital programs at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center. The Program is designed to provide students of all ages the opportunity to help others without personal gain and to teach the values of compassion and respect for others. Involvement in Kids Helping Hopkins is an excellent way for students to learn the value of service to the community. Many schools, clubs and organizations have recognized the importance of community service and have encouraged it to their members or students. Kids Helping Hopkins provides an ideal avenue for service-learning experience. Participants in the Program will gain a new understanding of the Children's Center and the many services it provides in Maryland and through out the world.
