Click here to contact me Welcome to my world of speech and language. I am beginnning my 31st year of teaching and my 23rd year at Pinewood Elementary School. As you might guess from the the number of years I have been here, I love working at Pinewood. It is a school that offers a nurturing environment to the students and a wonderful staff of highly qualified teachers. I earned a B.S. degree in Education majoring in Speech/Language Pathology at California University of Pennsylvania and a Masters Degree at Penn State University. I have also completed post-graduate courses at the University of Virginia and Loyola College. I am a member of the American Speech and Language Association as well as the Maryland Speech,Language and Hearing Association.
I work full time at Pinewood providing speech and language services to a variety of students. I am qualified to screen, assess, diagnose, and provide treatment to children with communicative handicaps. I work with the children in a variety of settings to include my speech therapy room, the child's classroom, or environments through out the school. I also consult with parents and teachers as to the best way to meet their child's needs. In addition, I serve on the school based management team and other committees within the school and am a resource to speech/language pathologists within Baltimore County.
On a personal note, I have a husband and two sons. My older son is a a second year law student at the University of Maryland, and my younger son is a freshman at the University of Maryland. I love to travel, shop, read, bake, Greek dance, and work out at the gym. I am a Ravens fan except when they play the Steelers. I grew up in Pittsburgh and once a Steelers fan, always a Steelers fan. Of course, I am an avid fan of the Maryland Terps! |
