Miss Ruter
Hello,
Thank you for visiting my site. My name is Joy Ruter'Casserly and I am a fourth grade, Language Arts teacher, at Deep Creek Elementary. I am currently teaching the Gifted and Talented Reading Program, as well as, on level reading and writing. I have been working in Baltimore County for three years. Deep Creek is a great school with a wonderful staff; I feel fortunate to be here.

The link below can give you valuable information about Baltimore County's Langage Arts Program. The contents include links to Baltimore County's reading series, Hounton Mifflin Reading. This site gives suggestions for added reading that relates to Themes the students would be currently reading about. There are also activities students can do along with the stories that they are reading.

The Volutary State Curriculum(VSC)link will give you information on Maryland's curriculum for students. The portion of the VSC connected to this link gives specific reading, writing, language,listening, and speaking objectives that students will be learning throughout the year.
