Welcome to all Pinewood students! I have enjoyed meeting new students as well as seeing familiar faces in my vocal music classes this year at Pinewood.
This is my 14th year at Pinewood Elementary School as the vocal music teacher. During my teaching career I have also been a vocal music teacher in two schools at a time, including Perry Hall, Sparks, Fifth District, Oakleigh and Inverness Elementaries.
I am certified to teach music education through grade 12, although I have always worked with elementary school students. I have a bachelor's degree in music education from Towson University, and currently have approximately 40 credits past the master's level in music education.
I am the mother of two daughters who are ages 23 and 20. Christen is a graduate of West Chester University with a degree in athletic training. She is currently working in a chiropractic office in Towson. She also works as a personal fitness trainer, and enjoys dancing in her spare time.
Cara is a sophomore attending UMBC, and is majoring in social work with a minor in music. I enjoy listening to Cara perform in various music groups, and watching her in dance productions as well.
