Import the BCPS System Calendar

iCal File Format

When Configured using the steps below, the .ics file will be continuously updated to provide the most up to date events

Google

  1. Open Google Calendars.
  2. Click the down arrow that is to the right of Other calendars.
  3. Click Add By URL.
  4. Enter http://www.bcps.org/calendars/BCPSCalendar.ics into the text box.
  5. Click the Add Calendar button.

Outlook 2007

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Click File.
  3. Click Data File Management.
  4. Click the Internet Calendars Tab.
  5. Click New.
  6. Enter http://www.bcps.org/calendars/BCPSCalendar.ics into the text box.
  7. Click Add.
  8. Make sure the Update Limit checkbox is checked.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Click Close.

Outlook 2010

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Click File.
  3. Click Info on the left.
  4. Click Account Settings.
  5. After the menu drops down click Account Settings.
  6. Click the Internet Calendars Tab.
  7. Click New.
  8. Enter http://www.bcps.org/calendars/BCPSCalendar.ics into the text box.
  9. Click Add.
  10. Make sure the Update Limit checkbox is checked.
  11. Click OK.
  12. Click Close.

Apple

  1. Open iCal.
  2. Click on Calendar on the menu bar.
  3. Click on Subscribe.
  4. Enter http://www.bcps.org/calendars/BCPSCalendar.ics into the text box.
  5. Click Subscribe.
  6. Make sure the Refresh checkbox is checked.
  7. Click OK.

CSV File Format

2012-2013 CSV File | 2013-2014 CSV File This file imports into many CSV-compatible calendar applications for desktop and mobile devices. It is the responsibility of the user to manually correct any date changes or corrections in calendar applications into which this file has been imported. We strongly recommend importing into a separate calendar if the application allows.

Importing into Google

  1. Save the CSV file onto your desktop by right clicking the CSV link and choosing Save Target As.
  2. Open Google Calendars.
  3. Click the down arrow that is to the right of My calendars.
  4. Click on Settings.
  5. Click on the Import calendar link.
  6. Browse for the CSV file that you saved to your desktop.
  7. You may wish to create a separate calendar for these dates.
  8. Click the Import button.
  9. Close the information box that shows that you have successfully imported the events from the CSV file.

Importing into Outlook

  1. Save the CSV file onto your desktop by right clicking the CSV link and choosing Save Target As.
  2. Open Outlook.
  3. Click File.
  4. Click Import and Export...
  5. Choose Import from another program or file from the list of actions to perform.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Choose Comma Separated Values (Windows) from the list of file types to import from.
  8. Browse for the CSV file that you saved to your desktop.
  9. We recommend choosing the "replace duplicate items" option available on this screen.
  10. Click Next.
  11. You may wish to create a separate calendar for these dates.
  12. Click Next.
  13. Click Finish.
