Ms. O’Hare is a longtime advocate for education in Baltimore County’s northeast communities. She has served as PTSA president at Parkville High School, chair of the school system’s Northeast Area Educational Advisory Council, a member of the Baltimore County Education Coalition and a member of the school system’s Minority Achievement Advisory Group. She was appointed a commissioner to the Baltimore County Commission on Human Relations and in 2005 Coordinator of the Area Educational Advisory Councils. Ms. O’Hare also has been active in her community serving as President of the Carney Improvement Association since 2003. She retired as a computer specialist from the Social Security Administration. She earned a B.A. from the College of Notre Dame and an M.A. Loyola College. Meg and husband, Tom, have four sons, 3 daughters-in-laws, 4 granddaughters, 2 grandsons and 1 great granddaughter.
