Special Recognition

Flanked by Board of Education President Donald Arnold (far left) and Board member Sanford Teplitzky, staff and students of Pikesville Middle School were honored during the Board's December 18th meeting for their literary contributions to the school system's fiscal year 2001 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. Each of the students received a $50 U.S. Savings Bond from the Board, who recognized the students for the literature each had written, which appears in the financial report. Pictured with Mr. Arnold and Mr. Teplitzky are Pikesville Middle School Principal Barbara Walker and English teachers Rina Simon and Jennifer Sheggrud, who serve as the school's literary magazine advisors. Students who were honored were Stacy Bensky, Veronica Espinoza, Andrew Fomil, Julia Goldwasser, Diana Groueva, Lamar Robinson, Elana Shuster, Shontia Sydnor, Paul Thaler, Jasmine Thomas, Anton Tuvelman, Matt Tworecke.
