The educational program at Baltimore County Detention Center (BCDC) provides comprehensive services to incarcerated youth ages 14-21.  Classes are geared towards preparing students to return to a comprehensive middle or high school, take the GED exam, attend a local community college, or enter the workforce upon their release.  Five academic classes (Language Arts – Reading and Writing, Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics) are offered during the day.  Additionally, transition classes on the subjects of writing résumés, searching for employment, and interviewing with potential employers are offered to students preparing to leave BCDC.
